E-design is the the perfect solution for those who want to utilize Collective Studio’s skills and decor know-how without hiring us for full-service interior design. It’s the perfect kick in the butt for making your home look and feel like a professionally designed space without the designer price tag. Each e-design is completely tailored to you and created with your style and budget in mind. You will pay one flat fee and receive a room layout, mood board and product list. Once received, you can make purchases at your own pace and pull it all together as you are ready. E-design is not just limited to decor. It’s also a great option for bathroom and kitchen renovations.
How it Works
If you can snap photos, take measurements and send emails… you are a perfect e-design candidate.
TO START: The process begins with a room (or rooms) in your house that are in need of some design love. First, you’ll need to fill out our design questionnaire which can be found below. It will only take 10 minutes or so and will help us gather important information (such as if you live with furry friends, have kiddos, or if you hate the colour blue) about the room(s) and your lifestyle.
NEXT UP: You should expect to hear back from us within 3-5 business days. At this time we will ask you any general questions we may have and send you a quote along with a start date. If you’re good to go we will require a 50% deposit before we begin the design process.
YOUR TURN: Now it’s your time to shine… email photos and measurements of the room(s) to be decorated (click here to see our sample measurement guide) along with 3-5 inspiration photos from magazines or online. You can also share a Pinterest board. Make sure to be very descriptive about each photo, as it’s important to pin point exactly what you like and don’t like for each. We know what you’re thinking – it may be hard to narrow down your thousands of inspiration photos but it’s important to narrow in on what you LOVE and more importantly what is realistic given your space and how you need it to function for you.
OUR TURN: We may have some followup questions for you, but if not we will get to work creating a cohesive design plan for your space sourcing from online and local sources. Typically this is a 3 week process – but we will be very transparent about timelines before you send your deposit.
Once complete, you will receive:
1 mood board – This is a visual presentation of all of the room’s elements and how they work together (paint, furniture, art, textiles, accessories, window treatments, etc.) We realize that visualizing the final product is often the greatest challenge our clients face so this will be your big “ah-ha moment”
1 furniture layout – This is a to scale, detailed, furniture floor plan that references everything included in the mood board. Rest assured, everything will fit and all space will be utilized.
1 product list – We’ll include a link to a thorough shopping list with clickable links (referencing everything included in the mood board and any alternatives where applicable) to make your shopping experience a breeze.
